Advancing Partners & Communities works to address barriers to health service access by building the capacity of local organizations in Ghana and supporting the creation of local and sustainable initiatives.
Addressing health in urban settings is a priority area for JSI. The USAID-funded Building Healthy Cities project, implemented by JSI and partners, aims to refocus city policies, planning, and services with a health equity lens while improving data-driven decision-making for Smart Cities in India, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
In family planning service delivery, when countries attain improvements in key indicators such as contraceptive prevalence rate (CPR) we feel proud about those achievements. Yet, within countries that have seen such gains, there are still hard-to-reach populations with exceptionally poor contraceptive use, as well as other health challenges; this is the case for many of the communities in which the Advancing Partners & Communities (APC) project works.
